The Society in Sync Conference
 |
The DLN held a highly successful conference in Aberdeen on 10th February 2005 with Peter Senge as the keynote speaker. The basic themes were:
- A belief in people
- Knowledge - the assumptions that underpin our knowledge
- Connections throughout society - systems thinking.
|
The conference was a highly participative conference with a mixture of internationally renowned speakers leading plenary sessions, innovative thinkers providing presentations to break out workshops and structured opportunities to discuss implications in groups of 8 to 10. We had representatives from business, the media, the public sector, education and many others to reflect a cross section of society.
Feedback from the conference included:
- I learnt more from that conference than any other I have attended.
- There is a real buzz about this conference. I think something special might be going on here in the north east.
- There was more energy, enthusiasm and active listening going on than at any conference I can remember
- I was delighted to be at such a high calibre event held in Aberdeen. It was fantastic to hear from Peter Senge live and it refreshed my thinking on so many issues.
